Mental Health Clinician I Bilingual Spanish FL/NVYFC

Duties: 
Provides direct and indirect services to clients.
 
Provide individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy, both short and long term.
 
Provide direct psychosocial services, including supportive individual counseling, crisis intervention, group therapy, and case management.
 
Conduct intake evaluations and provide all case management services for those clients as needed until a primary therapist is assigned.
 
Provide Offer of the Day (O.D.) and walk-in clients coverage as scheduled and perform necessary walk-in intervention, including, but not limited to, intake evaluation, support triage, support for involuntary hospitalization.
 
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete all required documentation, report writing, and correspondence within the mandated time frames.
 
Maintain productivity standards established for program.
 
Provide all case management services to assigned clients as needed.
 
Provide consultation and education to the community as needed.
 
Submit weekly schedule of client appointments.
 
Perform assertive community outreach to clients as necessary.
 
Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications: 
  1. Master of Social Work from an accredited school of social work AND a current Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
  2. Masters Degree in psychology or related behavioral science field from accredited university AND a current Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT Intern) registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
  3. Doctorate of Philosophy or Psychology from an accredited university AND current registration with the California Board of Psychology and waiver obtained through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
  4. Must maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law.
  5. Minimum two (2) years experience in a mental health setting. Community mental health experience desirable. Experience with the severely, mentally ill desirable.
  6. Must pass Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
  7. Must have a valid California Driver License in good standing and personal, valid insurance. May be required to be insured by the Center’s auto insurance.
  8. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
