Mental Health Clinician I Bilingual Spanish - MST Juvenile Justice


Provides intensive in-home collateral services to clients referred by the probation department that are accepted into the MST program. Also is responsible for all case management activities and providing community links for these families. Therapist is responsible for supportive documentation regarding these activities, weekly supervision by MST Services, and weekly supervision by the MST Program Coordinator and/or MST Administrative Supervisor.

  1. Intensive, in-home, collateral services strictly adhering to the MST model.

  2. Completes psychosocial assessments with adolescent clients.

  3. Develop interventions that target challenges presented by multiple systems (school, peers, community, family, and legal).

  4. Provide case management and linkage for family to assist with improved family functioning.

  5. Maintain close communication with the Deputy Probation Officer assigned to client to ensure that legal concerns are adequately addressed.

  6. Completes all required DMH and Center chart documentation, report writing and correspondence within the mandated time frames.

  7. Maintains at least the required productivity level of 60% on a consistent basis.

  8. Participate in a 7-day MST training (registration and travel arrangements paid by the agency), weekly individual and group supervision sessions, weekly MST consult calls, staff meetings, and quarterly MST booster trainings.

  9. Completes all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field leading to California licensure as LCSW, MFT, or equivalent licensed therapist or registered intern with the appropriate California licensing board.
Must have at least two years of experience working with adolescents and families in a behavioral health setting.
Bilingual Spanish-speaking is required.
Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
Valid California Driver’s License is required. Must meet guidelines of agency’s driving criteria (i.e. proof of liability insurance, minimal moving violations, driving record free of DUI’s or reckless driving in the last 3 years, etc.) and maintain the criteria as per company policy at all times.  REQ. 31218A
