Registered MFT or ACSW Mental Health Clinician I or II - NVYFC

Provides direct and indirect therapeutic and case management services to clients. The MH Clinician II is available as a consultant to the community and FLNV staff as needed. Provides licensed coverage and crisis consultation to FLNV program.
Provide individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy, both short and long term.
Participate in rotation of licensed coverage to ensure that clinicians have support by a licensed clinician during evening hours.
Conduct intake evaluations and ongoing clinical assessment with assigned clients.
Assist with back-up support to clinicians in crisis situations.
Complete all required documentation, report writing and correspondence within the mandated time frames.
Submit weekly schedule of client appointments.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager/Coordinator.
Assume lead support role in absence and/or unavailability of Program Manager/Coordinator.
Responsible for taking the lead with the Utilization Review Committee (URC), ensuring that client chart paperwork is completed as per all DMH and Center documentation deadlines and other requirements.
Must act in accordance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and related state law confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA test, and receive the Certification of Compliance.
Strong motivation to learn, particularly short-term individual and group therapy skills. Capacity for self-examination, self-disclosure, and ability to empathize are essential.
Be able and willing to work one evening per week or as needed.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Arriving at work on time and not leaving early is an essential function of the job.
Computer skills and knowledge of community resources. Experience with children and families.
MA/MSW in counseling, social work, or related field and licensed as a LCSW or MFT for at least 2 years.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mental health setting. Community mental health experience desirable. Experience with the severely, mentally ill desirable.
Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
Valid California Driver’s License is required. Must meet guidelines of agency’s driving criteria (i.e. Proof of liability insurance, minimal moving violations, driving record free of DUI’s or reckless driving in the last 3 years, etc.) and maintain the criteria as per company policy at all times.  Apply Here
