Programs

We offer a wide variety of job opportunities as we have 35 programs located throughout the San Fernando Valley.  Although some of these opportunities are in the Administrative Offices, the majority of them are out in the field helping individuals as case managers, social workers, therapists and nurses.

Job
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Master degree from an approved graduate school or program leading to California licensure as LMFT/LCSW or equivalent, licensed therapist or registered intern with the appropriate California licensing board, experience working with children in a behavioral health setting, and valid California license.
 
Must maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law.
 
At least one (1) year experience working in a mental health setting with CMI population.

Job
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
 
Minimum of three years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health field working with persons with chronic mental illness and preferably with a forensic background. Knowledge of DSM-5 required.
 
Ability to work with multi-ethnic, multi-cultural clients in their environment.
 
Maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law.
 
Able to pass Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint and background clearance.
 
Must have a valid California Driver License in good standing and personal, valid insurance. Be insurable by the Center’s auto insurance.

Job
CAADAC/ CAADE certification is required. High School Diploma Required.
 
Minimum of two years’ experience in substance use disorders in a mental health or substance abuse setting preferably with homeless, forensic, dual diagnosed individuals. Experience in individual and group counseling. Two years alcohol & drug treatment experience preferred.

Job
Education:
B.A. in the field of Human Services, (Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences and/or Sociology) with a minimum of two years post graduation experience.
 
Experience:
Possess a minimum of two years experience in mental health setting with mentally disabled population preferably with homeless individuals, conducting individual and group counseling and brief intake assessment.
 
Knowledge and experience in; assertive outreach to clients in the community, comfort working on an inter-disciplinary team utilizing a social rehabilitation approach, ability to work with multi-ethnic, multi-cultural homeless individuals in their environment.  Must possess good interpersonal skills and an understanding of persons with emotional, mental and behavioral problems.
 
Knowledge and experience working with homeless, mentally ill.
 
Must have a good driving record must be insurable by Center insurance company.

EDUCATION:

Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work AND a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) registration number through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
 
Masters in psychology or related behavioral science field from accredited university AND a current Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) registration number through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
 
Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited university AND current Psychologist registration with the California Board of Psychology.
 
Must maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law.
 
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a mental health setting. Case management experience necessary.
 
Must have a valid California Driver License in good standing and personal, valid insurance. Will be required to be insured by the Center’s auto insurance.

B.A./B.S. Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field.
 
Minimum of two years experience in the field of special events, development and public relations.
 
Knowledge of databases, Raiser's Edge experience is a plus.
 
Demonstrated knowledge and work experience with coordinating successful special events and obtaining corporate sponsorships.
 
Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills, and ability to interact with diverse groups.
 
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
 
Strong computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft Office and database applications.
 
Local travel, some evening and weekend work required. Valid California Driver’s License is required.  Must meet guidelines of agency’s driving criteria (i.e. Proof of liability insurance, minimal moving violations, driving record free of DUI’s or reckless driving in the last 3 years, etc.) and maintain the criteria as per company policy at all times.  REQ.
