Programs

We offer a wide variety of job opportunities as we have 35 programs located throughout the San Fernando Valley.  Although some of these opportunities are in the Administrative Offices, the majority of them are out in the field helping individuals as case managers, social workers, therapists and nurses.

Job
MA/MSW degree in counseling, social work, or related field – BBS licensed eligible required.
 
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mental health setting working with children and families. Community mental health experience desirable. Experience with severely emotionally disturbed desirable.
 
Must be Bilingual Spanish-speaking.
 
Must pass Department of Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
 
Valid California Driver’s License is required. Must meet guidelines of agency’s driving criteria (i.e. Proof of liability insurance, minimal moving violations, driving record free of DUI’s or reckless driving in the last 3 years, etc.) and maintain the criteria as per company policy at all times. Job
Stable on medication and/or mental health stability for one year or more.
 
Education: Prefer some college experience, AA degree or equivalent.
 
Experience working in mental health or human service field preferred (or public service field).
 
Some typing and/or clerical skills needed. Able to perform general office duties and supportive services for targeted population.

  • MSW from an accredited school of social work AND a current ACSW Registration number through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
  • MA in psychology or related behavioral science field from accredited university AND a current MFT Intern number through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR
  • PhD from an accredited university AND current registration with the California Board of Psychology and waiver obtained through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
  • Must maintain current status as a licensed professional under California law.

B.A. degree in any Behavioral Sciences /Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or two plus experience in related field.
 
Minimum one (1) year experience providing vocational rehabilitation or related services to the mentally ill youth and or adults. Minimum of two (2) year’s experience required.

Job
LCSW, MFT, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited university, and licensed in the state of California for a minimum of three (3) years.
 
At least two (2) years of experience with providing clinical supervision. At least
one (1) year in a supervisory or management position in a related setting.
 
Knowledge regarding Child and Family Mental Health, Family Systems and Family Strengths-Based approaches, as well as of Child Welfare and Juvenile Probation Services highly preferred.
 
Ability to multi-task and assume responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the East Valley Youth and Family Center Program in all capacities.
