Programs

We offer a wide variety of job opportunities as we have 35 programs located throughout the San Fernando Valley.  Although some of these opportunities are in the Administrative Offices, the majority of them are out in the field helping individuals as case managers, social workers, therapists and nurses.

Job
Registered with either CAADE or CAADAC chemical dependency programs.
To maintain registration throughout employment or become a certified chemical dependency specialist through a state approved certifying agency on an ongoing basis.
Minimum 1 years’ experience working with probationers, parolees general relief, CalWORKs, DCFS, Medi-Cal and or community clients.
A working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs required (Microsoft Word & Excel especially). Additionally, knowledge and training of The ASAM Criteria and a web-based ASAM Triage Screening Tool.
Knowledge of signs and symptoms of domestic violence and mental illness.
Bi-lingual Spanish/English highly desired.
 
Additional Requirements:
Must act in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and related state law confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA test, and receive the Certification of Compliance.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Job
Certification with either CADDE or CADAAC Certification.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chemical Dependency Specialist with experience in outreach, assessment, treatment and after care.

Will obtain Red Cross First Aid and CPR training and Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training.

EDUCATION: Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year experience in a mental health treatment setting preferably with homeless mentally ill adults.
LICENSE OR EQUIVALENT: Licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of psychopharmacology, mental health or related programs, treatment theory and techniques for mentally ill and /or dually diagnosed adult population.
Ability to communicate and work with an extremely mentally disturbed and ethnically diverse population; work successfully within a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
Must have or obtain Red Cross First Aid and CPR training. May required obtaining Crisis Prevention Management training.

Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work AND a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; OR

Masters Degree (MA/MS) in psychology or related behavioral science field from accredited university AND a current Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Minimum of four years’ experience in a behavioral health care; experience with homeless chronic mentally ill. Knowledge of DSMIV required. Co-occurring disorders experience preferred.

Job
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related social science field or equivalent, and Licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).

Three (3) year of experience working as a Mental Health Clinician at least one of which focused on treatment of trauma. Experience providing bio-psychosocial assessments to adults, adolescents, and/or children.

Valid California Driver’s License is required. Must meet guidelines of agency’s driving criteria (i.e., Proof of liability insurance, minimal moving violations, driving record free of DUI’s or reckless driving in the last 3 years, etc.) and maintain the criteria as per company policy at all times.
