Center for Family Living FCCS and Outpatient Services
The Center for Family Living (CFL) houses two programs: Field Capable Clinical Services (FCCS) and Outpatient care. Both programs serve adults aged 26 and up who are diagnosed with a chronic, persistent mental illness and are funded by MediCal and MediCal/Medicare insurance. Both programs provide psychiatric medication services, crisis intervention, group and individual therapy and counseling, and case management. Referrals for service are received from psychiatric hospitals, physical medical providers, and other mental health providers, among others.
CFL FCCS provides field-based services as appropriate. This includes in-home mental health assessment and therapy/counseling intervention. Linkage with adjunct resources in the community is also provided, including transportation and advocacy.
The CFL Outpatient program provides the described services in the clinic setting. Consumers have achieved overall stabilization of their mental health condition and require fewer services; on average, they access treatment once monthly.
