The Center’s own Dr. Adrienne Sheff presented at the California Association of Social Rehabilitation Agencies (CASRA) on October 23rd. Dr. Sheff presented on the importance of reclaiming one’s dignity as an essential component of the Recovery process. Listeners were trained on overcoming the impact of stigma associated with having a mental disability and taught about intervention methods that could help consumers in their recovery. The Center’s adult programs utilize a Recovery-based model and emphasize improving the quality of life for all consumers. A big Thank You goes out to CASRA for inviting Dr. Sheff and other staff to present at the conference this year!
