The Center’s Department of Health Services (DHS) Interim housing program offers temporary supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are chronically homeless and have a medical condition. These individuals are referred by Department of Health Services based on frequency of use of county facilities and those referred are working towards subsidized housing with a DHS case manager.
Our interim housing provides onsite services including case management, substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, independent living skills, etc. These facilities operate under a Harm Reduction and Housing First model and provide a safe place for individuals with co-occurring disorders to work with onsite case managers on gaining the skills to live independently.
